It’s meant to be the happiest time of the year, but for a lot of us it brings up more than we expected.
Maybe it’s old childhood memories that resurface every December.
Maybe it’s resentment toward a parent who couldn’t give you the love you needed.
Maybe it’s the grief of someone who isn’t at the table anymore.
Maybe it’s co-parenting, and the reminder of a life you never thought you’d be navigating.
Or maybe the year didn’t go the way you hoped, and you want to finish it feeling steady and proud.

What this is
RISE: The Summer Series is a small, in-person breathwork group in Christchurch, built around one idea: treat yourself.
Through the breath, you give your body the chance to release what it’s been holding, so you can feel calmer, more settled and more yourself in the lead-up to Christmas.
Every session is guided intuitively. I follow what the group and the room need on the day, so there’s nothing to prepare and nothing to get right. You just show up and breathe.
